The Net Institute was created in response to the global socio-economic changes, occurring during recent years. Globalization, international cooperation, a worldwide deficit of mechanical engineers and the growing role of industrial giants have all necessitated a change in the way research and development work in this area is managed.
Our mission is to enable balanced development of Polish aviation as a partner in the global market.
Present-day aviation is an extensive and interdisciplinary field. It cannot be considered separately from its environmental, social, psychological and legal aspects. A single institution is simply not capable of embracing all issues related to broadly defined aviation.
In order to realize its mission, the Net Institute must skillfully combine the capabilities of all research and development units, post secondary schools and companies so that while engaging in joint projects they are still able to achieve their own missions. Such co-operation is ensured by a network structure.
The mission of the Net Institute will be implemented by building network structures and using them for work under R&D projects that both further the entire aviation industry and are consistent with national economic policy. These programmes ensure the influx of young engineering staff as well as provide a common working ground for dispersed specialized resources and capabilities, within local and international network structures.
