One of the tasks of the Net Institute is to organize scientific conferences and seminars. The subject of these meetings is strictly related to the creation of expert networks and the projects being implemented. Preeminent specialists in their fields, scientists, theoreticians and practitioners with many years of professional experience are invited to participate. The conferences present the current status and results of research conducted by network members, as well as the results of entire projects.
- III Conference "Fatigue of Aircraft Structures"
On 14 and 15th of January, the 3rd Conference "Fatigue Of Aircraft Structures" took place at the Institute of Aviation.
The purposes of this conference was:
integration of industrial,
academic and research centers,
involved in issues of aircraft structural fatigue,
presentation of research currently being conducted in Poland related to aircraft structural fatigue.
Covered topics was: full-scale fatigue testing of aircraft and aircraft structural components,
fatigue of materials and structures, advanced materials and innovative structural concepts,
damage tolerant design of aircraft structure, life extension and management of ageing fleets,
structural health monitoring and loads, fatigue crack growth and life prediction methods, NDT inspections, airworthiness considerations.
- The Second Conference „Aircraft Noise In Poland”
On May 13th 2009 the Net Institute organised the conference on aircraft external noise “Aircraft Noise in Poland”. At the conference diverse aspects of aircraft noise were discussed. The main aim of the conference was to identify activities that could be undertaken in Poland in this area. The conference was held under the auspices of X3-NOISE Aircraft External Noise Research Network and Coordination (FP6) and hosted by the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw.

- Conference „The European Charter for Researchers. Implementation and Promotion”
On the 20th of November 2008 in Institute of Aviation in Warsaw took place the conference about implementation and promotion of European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the mobility of researchers.
European Charter for Researchers sets main rule and requirements, which term the functions, scope of responsibilities and rights of scientists, their employers or funders. The Charter also concedes value of each type of mobility, which is the tool for the further professional progress.
The Director of Institute of Aviation, Witold Wiśniowski, in the presence of Janez Potočnik- European Commissioner for Science and Research, signed on the 29th of September 2008 in Brussels, European Charter for Researchers and The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The meeting, in which took part Minister, Professor Maria Elżbieta Orłowska, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, was about the promotion of the Charter and the Code in the Polish research and the development units.
The discussion was about the possibilities of implementation of recommendation in all Polish research units and about the mobility. Professor Maria Elżbieta Orłowska presented ideas and the goals of packet of statutes, which concerns the reform of science and researches in Poland.
Moreover, the Minister was also speaking about the meaning of the Charter and the Code regarding to make more attractive and the competitiveness of Polish researchers in European Union.
The organiser of the meeting was the Association of International Institutes of European Union EREA (Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics) and Institute of Aviation, its member.
- The Conference "Aircraft Noise In Poland"

On May 15 2008 the Net Institute organised the conference on aircraft external noise "Aircraft Noise in Poland". At the conference, diverse aspects of balanced approach to aircraft noise management were presented. The main aim of the conference was to identify activities that should be undertaken in order to implement this approach in Poland, as suggested by ICAO. The conference was held under the auspices of X3-NOISE Aircraft External Noise Research Network and Coordination (FP6) and hosted by the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw.
